also used. Before World War II only 10% of the engagement rings contained
diamonds, by 1941 there was a 55% increase in USA diamond sales. N.W. Ayer is
credited with handling the most successful marketing campaign ever, by popularizing
the diamond ring as the best engagement ring ever.
