Lab Grown Diamond - 3.50 Carat Round D Color With VS 2 Clarity
Diamonds have always been the favorite
of the rich. For thousands of years, only the rich could afford to wear
diamonds. Diamonds were first mined in India, where they were collected from
river and streams. When the supply of diamonds from India dwindled, Brazil
became an important source of the diamonds. When the supply there too dwindled
then came the diamonds from South Africa, mined by the DeBeers group, which
currently holds a virtual monopoly over the supply of mined diamonds today.
The popularity of diamonds rose
after World War II, especially due to the hugely successful marketing campaign
run by the DeBeers group to popularize diamonds in the US. Before World War II,
only about 10% of the engagement rings had diamonds on them, after the War, the
demand for diamonds rose to 55% of the pre-World War II levels. Till date there
has been resurgence in the demand for diamonds across the world. However, most
of the diamonds sold these days are mined diamonds, which have a large carbon
footprint. Tonnes of earth are moved to get a single stone of diamonds, when
then undergoes major processes on it to get the diamond market ready.
On the other hand, lab growndiamonds that we manufacture at Riddhi Exports are eco-friendly and have a low
carbon footprint. Some of you will call these diamonds ‘artificial’ but you
need to know that these diamonds are physically, optically and chemically
similar to mined diamonds, only a trained export can distinguish between mined
and lab-grown diamonds.
